A FAMILY BUSINESS
The first generation of Dalzells operated a livery business in Brookline in the early 20th century. In 1957 the second generation of Dalzells, brothers David, Hugh, Clarke and Howard, established Dalzell Motor Sales, a dealership devoted solely to the sale and care of Volvos. Moving to its present location in Dedham in 1963 Dalzell Volvo had grown tremendously. In 1987 a third generation of Dalzells brothers David, John and Paul, established a pre-owned Volvo dealership in Foxboro. In 1993, David became president of Dalzell Volvo in Dedham, while brothers John and Paul assumed management of the Foxboro facility. Dalzell Volvo, by design, remains small and doesn’t operate on a high volume philosophy or resort to high pressure sales tactics or misleading advertising. More than half of all customers purchasing Volvos from Dalzell are repeat customers, many owning Volvos with over 250,000 miles which are serviced by Dalzell and are still going strong.

A CAR IS BORN
Prior to delivery, the first 5 hours of preparation that your new Volvo undergoes at Dalzell are the most critical in its life. For that reason this meticulous task is entrusted almost entirely to one highly trained Dalzell technician. This ensures that the over 40 mechanical checkpoints are rechecked after your Volvo’s long trip from Gothenburg, Sweden. Your “raw car” is than transformed into the final product that will provide you with many safe miles and years of driving satisfaction. Now, you and your family, as well as your new Volvo, are members of the Dalzell Volvo family.

THE LIFE OF “OUR” CAR
Longevity is synonymous with the marque of Volvo. Many families have purchased 12 or more Volvos from Dalzell over the years and the great majority of these Volvos are still on the road today.

Owners come to Dedham from afar to take advantage of Dalzell’s dedication to fine service.
